I've got a full set of used Eibach Springs and B6 shocks I'm no longer using having upgraded to BC Coilovers as my car is predominantly used for hillclimbs now. They are in great working order but having been on the car for a few years since I bought them secondhand they do look scruffy. They've only done around 10k miles on my car and I was told not many before I bought them but can't remember the details.

Having taken them off I would clean up the springs and repaint them if I was using them myself but would rather show them in their current state.
