Is this doable in a 20vt while fuel prices inevitably run amok?
I'm thinking never use full throttle, never go beyond 3krpm. Or can this still cause timing issues?

Yeah. I'm thinking heat/det would be the main issue which is surely not going to happen at low revs, low throttle.

It's not just how the car will rum that E10 affects.
The real problem with it is that the increased alcohol content can damage fuel line components on older engines which were not designed to cope with E10. Certainly the coupe wasn't designed for it.
Personally I'd far rather pay the extra fuel cost for E5 than have to replace prematurely defunct components.

We must all do our part for the planet. I unplugged a row of electric cars that nobody was using. I even unplugged my own.

Turns out the price of VPower E5 at my local Shell garage is pretty much the same price it was a couple of weeks ago, so I brimmed it with that. 169.99 pl. Ordinary diesel was 173.99!
It seems Shell don't put their prices up until they have to buy oil/fuel at the increased prices and don't put the price up in advance to profiteer
