Well,

She failed today - needs new CV Boots.

So hunting around for a good source of boots-I'm waiting to hear back from the Alfa Shop (Steve's Alternative Autos listed now as shut sadly).

My local non specialist MOT was upfront saying - can you find some decent quality boots, as they don't want to order in generic low quality parts.

If Alfa can't help- anyone know a good uk source?

Don't want to buy cheap ones- got 10 days for the re-test.

No Coupe drives until then...

MM.

Ricambio International have them according to their website so I'd have thought they'd deal with only quality components? Give 'em a call.

If it's just CV boots it's failed on then that's a decent result. Mine scraped on handbrake and emissions but it had hardly been used since going into storage in October 2024.

Alternative Autos ebay account appears to still be live and he does have some c.v boots listed.

Maybe worth a look

Thanks GMan and Alex,

The Alfa Shop have them in stock so I've gone for those. I'm picking them up tomorrow- and they have invited me in for a look-around their premises to show me what they stock-as they tell me they have a fair bit of Coupe service items always to hand.

I'll report back on what I find.

Yes Gman - not so bad to have just the cv boots as a failure. Meeting the emissions target is always a bit of a struggle. Suspect that is down to under use. Brakes all good this year- another area where in the past its usually needed something/

Hopefully the boots will be correct and new MOT ticket will be in my hand by next week-with 2026 ready to go for Coupe Adventures!

MM

I hope this does not stamp somewhere on a sub rule of the forum,

But I visited with the Alfa Shop today-to pick up boots I need for the CV Joints. And Phil who is the main man there was in and we had a good chat about Coupe parts/rarity and the whole gambit of running an older Italian car.

The place appeared to be jam packed with parts. And they are confident that often times they can get what is needed (NOT radiaitors he was keen to add). There are other suppliers I am sure but - even if your not in Gods Own County-they ship. Have set the link direct t the Coupe parts page. Anyone will help - but ask for Phil if you can.

Car re-booked in for next week for MOT works and re-test....so hoping for next week.

Regards

MM

I knew AlfaShop could supply some Coupe parts but I dont know they had a section on the website, that could be useful. But they have some parts listed twice, sometimes at a sensible price, sometimes at a ridiculous price! (rear bump stop for example)
