Hello everyone,

I have recently purchased a 1998 Broom Yellow 2.0 20 V.I.S Coupe which has been dry stored in an outside garage for 4 years, as it failed the MOT and was put away, as the previous owner could not find the time to maintain it/ bring it back.

I intend to revitalise my lemon-obile, doing as much as I can myself and learning as I go, stripping it down, so that I know when I done her she will be Factory New with a low float.

The engine does start and run but that is as much as I have tested as there is no fuel in the tank.

There is a lot to do on the MOT but this did not sway my purchase as I am up for the challenge and am eager to occupy my time (I may regret saying this ooo )

I would say the main issue faced will be rust as I will have to replace the sills and fix the rear wheel arches (structural works) .

Attached are pictures of the car in its current state

Thanks

Peter

Hey guys,

I got started on her yesterday by removing all of the interior and boot lining,

centre console is sticky and i was wearing my nice pair of blue jeans (no more cry )

carpet and seats look good so ima keep them.

a little bit of rust in the boot by the fuel tank and driver side passenger seatbelt mount

There are layers of what i assume soundproofing dotted about it has turned brittle though so it snaps off

rust in the arches of the wheel wells (expected and the zinc behind the centre console is corroded)
