I'll happily admit that I'm not a regular visitor these days, but I've been a member, here and in the previous incarnation, for over 25 years, been a mod, joined the club (when it was more relevant to me), and contributed my fair share over the years.

I need to get around to sorting the alternator on my car so I thought I'd just re-read some of the info about that - only to find it all behind what is now effectively a paywall (ie, paid members only). Worse still, I can't even read threads which I started myself in the past which are in those (multiple) areas.

I realise everything costs money, but I also think there might have been a dispensation for longstanding members and/or to read your own contributions. Feels like a bit of a grift if I'm honest. The Donald would be proud.

Ah well. What with this and the advertising for sale fiasco, that's probably me done here. As they say on TV, other products and services may be available. Something of a shame after all this time.

Each one to their own Cappo, it has to be said though that many of us long-standing old f4*ts have also contributed over the years, Howto's even, which we now have to pay for to view

Imho it's a modest payback for the money I've saved, the knowledge I've gained and the friends I've made.

Sorry to see you go, I for one have enjoyed your contributions.

Cappo now come on, yes I totally get where you're coming from but the membership helps keeps the lights on for this hive mind of knowledge and friendships, new owners are happy to pay this small amount per year to fix and look after their Coupes, old f4*ts like me and many others were used to having the how-to's at our fingertips, especially when we/yourself wrote them but times have changed and the funds are needed to keep the creaky wooden cogs spinning which I've happily excepted so please don't say your final goodbye this way, that would be a sad way to lose the legend that is Cappo frown

As for what happened over the sale of your Plus, no idea you'd had issues but if you'd like me to help advertise it on my FB page do please drop me an email, that is unless it's already sold of course....
