Coupe appreciation and faults comments

Coupe appreciation and faults comments - 23/06/2018 23:51

On Friday, I had someone pull alongside me near some traffic lights in a left hand lane of a dual carriageway (I was on the right) and told me to 'wind my window down'. On doing so, he told me one of my brake lights wasn't working. I told him I knew and he said to get to Halfords as they'd sort it for a fiver laugh

He must have presumed that being female, I couldn't do it myself laugh

I told him the bulb was fine and it was the dodgy Fiat electrics at fault laugh

As the lights turned green, he told me he had to pull in front of me in order to get in the correct lane as he'd only stayed in the wrong lane so he could pull up alongside me to tell me about my brake light shocked

I still can't believe he did that!

On Saturday, near to the road above, I was aware of a white BMW convertible behind me in the left hand lane and then he switched to the right hand lane so he was in his correct lane, but as we were side by side at the traffic lights, he shouted across that my Coupe sounded nice cool
I said thanks and then he asked what engine was in it, so I told him and he mentioned again how nice my Coupe sounded cool

I've had a Coupe for 12 years now and get some comments about the car now and again, but never had people purposely staying in a wrong lane to tell me about a dodgy brake light before and don't usually get blokes shouting from their convertible about how nice the car sounds and asking me what engine is in it laugh

Maybe the sunshine is playing havoc with people laugh

Those are quite some compliments T!

The best I had was I pulled into a petrol station to fill up and when I went to pay the lad at the counter asked me how much it cost me to make my car look like that. He was surprised to hear that the design was unchanged from when it rolled out of the factory!

Nice comments Theresa! It's not surprising at all that a 20vt Sprinty would turn heads and get compliments. cool

I reckon Sprinty and yellow Coops stand out the most! cool

I pulled into a shop car park in my 20v Rosso next to a junior school in Guernsey at kick out time. Three little lads said "hey mate cool car, is it a Ferrari? " No, I replied it's a Fiat Coupe. "uhh" they said and walked off. Win some lose some I guess.
