High Idle RPM when Engine is Hot

High Idle RPM when Engine is Hot - 19/07/2017 11:54

Just recently when my engine is hot and my cooling fan has not kicked in, the idle speed on the engine lingers around 1800 - 2000 rpm. Once cooled down and restarted, idle rpm circa 750 - 800 rpm with a warm engine.

I am thinking the ICV ( Idle Control Valve ) needs to be cleaned / inspected or do Others have other comments on what I should be checking..

My ICV was gummed up once removed. Not cleaned it. Just replaced it with a new one with 12M gaurantee.

Hi,
I just posted a question about a similar problem on my 20VT LE. The symptoms you describe sound very similar.
Did replacing the ICV cure the problem completely on yours?
