anyone own a very late vt6? - 11/01/2018 14:12
i'm having real troubles with the breather system on my car and just wondering if someone with a little bit of mechanical knowledge can have a look under their bonnet to confirm something for me

do you have number 5 or 6 fitted to your car?
the breather catch tank under the inlet manifold and a breather pipe coming out the back of the sump
i'm led to believe that they done away with this system on the very last of the turbo models

Hi,
I've got a vt6-on V plate- so not quite the last of them.
Anyhow -just popped out to take a look-to double check.
Definitely got 6-and whilst I could not get a good look from the top (and too late and dark and wet to go underneath) all the plumbing looks exact same as the tech spec so presume I have 5 exactly as shown as well.
Hope this is of use...
Making sure 8 is connected properly and that the one-way valve at 7 is working (ie STILL one way) is the heart of it as I understand it and problems stem from that...as long as pipe work all tight/not ripped etc etc.
Cheers
MM

This wouldn't be Midland Turbo by any chance?

I had a great experience with Midland Turbo - standard turbo rebuild with minor upgrades
