Wobbly mirror - 11/06/2018 16:00

Hi,
I have had, for a while, a wobbly rear view mirror. I remember seeing some time a go, a thread on how to fix it. It seemed fairly straight forward so I left it as a job for the future.
Now I'm trying to fix it - I removed the seemingly pointless plastic plate and that's it. Is the light/switch unit a push fit? I don't want to give it too much welly without knowing what I'm dealing with. I could probably pull the mirror off the ball joint but not sure if that would help.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Simon.

The light/switch unit will push to one side - left, from memory - and then drop out and dangle. From there you can see the bolt that needs tightening.

Re. the seemingly pointless plastic plate - it's there for you to wedge your driving licence between the spring clip and the plate. In Italy you're supposed to always have your driving licence with you whilst driving rolleyes. Doesn't work so well with the credit card sized plastic licence though.
