That video was great, looks like you guys had heaps of fun! The bit from 6:20 - 6:40 is on part of the old circuit leading up towards blanchimont. Not sure if you guys retraced all of the old layout but you can still see some of the old armco barriers, the banked corner at Stavelot, and the old farm near the Masta kink where Stewart has his massive crash in the 60s.
Would love to go back to Spa again, hopefully next year!

We did a few laps of the old road too. How I'd love to take the banked corner at Stavelot full chat
Quite eerie seeing the many old Armco barriers around still. I love a bit of nostalgia and romanticism!
How about Pete can pull a few strings next year and get them to host it on the old circuit

Good stuff
Hovedan if you like nostalgia and romanticism from the glory days of F1 I'd recommend checking out the old Reims circuit, if you haven't already done so.

Chrissy the French all seem to have fast cars every year - regis is lightening, as is Julio
It was said though that a couple of them are ex pro drivers, but that rumour may have come about to save some English embarrassment
One things is for sure, they can drive that track and never pull out of a manouevre

Apparently due to the passenger not the driver...
thats why we had to put music over ours.

It was upsetting Proccy, I thought we ruled!, Drivings one thing, But clearly on a few sections of Spa, That Coupe reeled them both in pronto!
Sad, But god damn fast!
Respect to the 2 UK coupes for epic driving none the less.

Cheating by running race fuel.
Wait until next year,.
US old Brits will come back and even the score .
Seriously though, getting beat by a coupe isnt an issue amungst some serious moneys worth of supercar.
Seeing the Ferrari's and Lamborghini's in the mirror 4 a breast was an awesome sight on the Scuderia sessions .
150k's worth of supercar defeated with ease by a £1500 Fiat with 10k of mods.

Does anyone have the official figures on that Coupe though?

Re: SpaItalia 2012 photo thread - 21/05/2012 11:15
Regis is very committed I should say! I tuned his car a couple of years ago on normal fuel and it was fast then at Spa. He has now changed to E85 fuel (not available here), which is a very high octane fuel (circa 105), and as a result adds at least 50bhp to 400bhp+ car. It also has the benefit of burning much cooler so engine performance is more consistant under sustained high speed loads. I don't have his full spec, although it is very comprehensive and uses the same turbo that I achieved my 11.9 1/4 mile!

Yes, can confirm this when we spoke to Regis.
Coupled with a bit of dutch courage and 1.8bar made it stonking on the straights.

2871 with a 64 housing he said.
Stock head and cams with forged bottom end.
Wow.Great power on a cheap budget.Except race fuel is very expensive.
Even ran FK coilovers which worked very well on the 18inch rims.Federal tyres on the back too.

Anyone know what brake setup Regis uses - he was braking well inside the 100 yard post at the end of Kemmel into Les Coombes, and making it look like only a dab on the brakes too as it held the corners so well, when he would have been carrying 150+ at that point
Carbone Lorraine perhaps on standard 4 pot brembos

He had one of your chips(puce) up for sale a while back. It was for a gt 28. Si i imagine he is running some other map/chip.

Regis has 350mm discs with compbrake calipers at the front and uprated vents discs at the back (don't remember the size).
Except race fuel is very expensive.
Actually it is 2 times cheaper than 98 Octane fuel in France

And brake disc 300mm At rear.

hello all
Excuse my English I google translation, unwanted, and JBT Barbz know that I suck in English .....
Here's my setup: the Flea but already knows she has not changed except that I saw the FMIC had recommended a much larger than I had before.
engine:
2.0 forged Wössner the full 8/1
head completely original including camshafts
collector exhaust stainless
Online full exhaust 3 "(also dowpipe)
gt2871r turbo a / r 64
630cc injectors
fuel pump dw300
pressure turbo spa 1.5 b (because mapping being completed)
e85 fuel
pipping exchanger is -63 diameter by myself and the exhaust line
Chassis:
fk for suspensions
compbrakes 350mm for front brakes
279mm for the rear (discs alfa gta keeping the calipers of backgrounds with a little dough to deport this one)
Federal rsr 595 front tire (has not to our car as it pulls)
rear Toyo R888 are the perfect ones except they are expensive
at a reasonable Coup cappable is to pick the cars much more powerful on paper
despite the bridge of the box is broken on Sunday after noon she surprised me by the pleasure it gives me
next step will be a Quaife and never breaks a bridge
thank you again and has Barbz JBT fights for these beautiful, I hope to see you next year
for his cut on the videos, so the passengers were very exciting
So I prefer the sound off, but be careful it was just that they were happy, always friendly
the fiat coupe has the power to bring people together and simply and without competition or friendship and conviviality is the master words

Yes thank you Regis, google translator works very well!
One question -
What brake pads do you use?
Posted By: Anonymous
Re: SpaItalia 2012 photo thread - 22/05/2012 09:56
i use a carbon lorraine rc5 in front and ferodo ds2500 in rear

Looks like I guessed the pads right earlier, if not the calipers
Carbone Lorraine perhaps on standard 4 pot brembos
Will have to try a set of these next. Obviously the larger calipers help, but I reckon I was braking at about 70 yards latest into Les Coombes, and whilst the Carbotechs I ran in my standard brembos coped admirably, you seemed to leave it later still and would have been carrying a higher speed with about 100 more horses than my 350. Nice
Thanks for the info Regis

Yea regis's car was the quickest there! It was actually unbelievable how fast it was! There is a bit in the video i made where we both come out a corner and nail it! He just sails away, not even the exotics sailed away that quickly

Well said.
And your English is far superior to my French.
Some great dirty aggressive driving, was brilliant to be involved in the battle and live to tell the tale.
Get yourself to Donington GP over here and we will have a rematch

John, your Anglo-Saxon is pretty good though. Hope your car is OK for Curborough, as it seems you and Barbz need the practice
