Scottish Borders Vintage Motoring Extravaganza at Thirlestane Castle

Just to remind folks that after witnessing and being impressed by last year's event I contacted the organiser who has agreed to a section being put aside for FCCUK to display in this year.

More details will follow once the BVAC website is updated....

BVAC’s 45th Historic Motoring Extravaganza at Thirlestane Castle, Lauder 4/6/17 It actually runs on both weekend days but I've only requested a site for us on Sunday.

I'll be submitting a Car Club Entry so it would be good to have numbers.....X's below please

Sorry Simon, I know I was pushing for us to go to this great show for a couple of years - and now it's happening I cant go as I'm off to Dublin to see Kraftwerk that weekend.

Yep its currently tucked up in the garage until July so the Abarth is my mode of transport for next Sunday.

Yes we'll meet up somewhere like the Steading carpark which is on the A702 Biggar Road opposite the Esso garage, a few hundred metres after the Lothianburn exit from the Edinburgh Bypass

I've now received all the passes.

We need to be in position by 1030 so suggest meeting at the above venue (see previous post) for 0920 to arrive in convoy. There are wristbands, a green windscreen pass and a map of the site with instructions which I'll hand out there.

9:20 is good fur us hopefully with Bill in tow

Delighted you could come on board Russ, plenty to see and a friendly atmosphere. It's an impressive event, really well-organised and attended which I'll certainly be applying for participation in again next year

The restoration chap is Bill Dalgetty at Stack Yard west, Knowes Farm,Dunbar.

And Nick Harper in Norwich does the engine detailing we spoke about.

I will also ask a friend who is modding another Fiat X19 to see if he knows of anyone who can do what you want.
