Thanks mate but don't worry....I'm already looking at sticky track tyres and a pit crew just in case it's dry.

However a bit of light rain like last Sunday would be welcome. thumb

Surely, the main list should be filled by club members only, then the reserves are coupe owners who aren't club members, as I'm sure there is a couple of names in the main list who aren't club members smile

As a club, priority has to be given to those who are current paid up members for club organised events such as this, regardless as to histories.

What car they bring, for me, doesn't matter. Most will be coops.

In order for the club to continue it needs membership subs, which in turn support the forum. So I'm sorry Chrissy my old mate, but I have to disagree with you by saying priority must be given to those who are current paid up members.

Just join up again, I can feel Proccy coming along to spell out the benefits of club membership biglaugh

One of these benefits, of course, must simply be priority at club organised events such as this and Spa.

Hovedan I actually agree in total, Its just a pain that such a popular even can only manage such small numbers VS people wanting to attend,

I will be a member one day, and another Coop owner..

Health and safety for you! No in all seriousness all circuits have their capacities, and the low capacity at Curborough is just relative to its size.

Now if we were to arrange another big participation at Donington or the like, the capacity would be more than sufficient to cover all the track day heros here!

Paul,i know its the AGM but i like to attend these events on the basis that i will spend alot of time on the track.
With 20+ people it will mean a 40 minute wait in between a 1 minute run.
So on that basis someone else can take my place,i will come and watch.

I am going to suggest some improvements ....

Everyone that's driving has a stint on timing duty
Everyone that's driving has a stint on start-line duty
Everyone that's driving helps pack away at the end of the day

I think we could devise some kind of batch-scheduling, so that everyone gets some rapid-repeat tracktime, while everyone else can spectate - this way it removes the need to have to jump on the back of the queue as soon as you finish a run. We could even have "heats and finals", but this would favour the faster cars, which isn't really the aim of the day - it's just about having fun - maybe we could have "classes" based on known bhp - this would give all drivers a chance.

Just some thoughts, but I believe we should learn from the previous events - take the positives forward and learn from the (few) negatives

I like those suggestions Nigel. I was guilty of not helping out with the timing and would like to help next time.

I am quite happy to help with timing etc. I assumed that eveyone was happy with the ammount of time on track I certainly was.
Everyone was not joining the queue straight away after their run, most were taking a break after a couple of goes

It won't be a 40 min wait it should only be about 27 minutes at the most. So should be able get at least 6 laps in the morning and 6 in the afternoon, and that's with helping out.

From my experience, I'd suggest you arrange some 'groups' of a half dozen cars so that people get a few runs in a row; period waiting or helping with timing etc, and then another session later in the day.

Particularly if it's wet, a couple of runs in quick succession helps get a bit of temperature into tyres and brakes.
