Nice job thumb GTAs use both 305mm and 330mm discs.

so if i used 305mm discs i might have a fighting chance at using the 16" wheels

why dont you use the GTV 3L hubs?

they use the 305mm brembo's and are still a 5 stud.

ive got a half shaft next to my desk so i can check if they fit!

i think the easiest way for me to have brembos is to fit the 305mm discs & callipers and use the suspension upright from a GTA or 3.2V6 GT.
The 305mm Brembo setup will fit inside 16" wheels apparently!

Wow cracking project so far, the 147 has clearly had a lot of time spent on it. Please don't break the Coupe! I can appreciate why you'd want to given the tuning capabilities.

Could you not source another 20VT engine from someone like Joe at Countrycrising and slap that into the Alfa?

Marco, Perhaps we could come to an arrangement for swaps?
I've got a whole fiat coupe haha

Gunzi - I'll be honest, the car isn't in the best of conditions and was one of the main reasons why i chose this over a mint condition one. My current mindset is that the Fiat would need a considerable amount of work, time and effort to make it a half decent respectable looking car. I wanted a running engine, loom, downpipe, turbo, intercooler, radiator etc etc. This is simply the most cost effective way.
Its not all doom and gloom... Once i've salvaged the engine bits, tuning parts and usable exhaust bits I'll either put it up for sale without an engine or offer out the parts in return for helping with the engine change. This then gives those that have the technical knowledge but not the fund-age a chance to repair those 20vt hiding in garages.
Had the Fiat been in a good condition then i'd have thought twice but as it stands it would need a lot of work!

I have a set of 305 GTA calipers and braided hoses which will be up for grabs if your interested? You'll still need the uprights etc though.

Interesting project BTW. Would be an interesting comparison to a GTA but I think it may be closer that expected depending on how much power you end up with. Cant say I notice much differnce between my old coupe but I didnt drive them back to back.

Engine is finally in.

Just to add all the shiny bits once we've sorted the plumbing and wiring out.
