Hi! smile

I'm struggling with English language so NHF for mistakes smile

Car is intended to be a daily driver laugh
Coupe 20VT from 1997. Accralite pistons, Cunnigham rods, Stilo 2.4 head with Supertech Inconel exhaust valves (ordered and coming). Head ported and polished from head expert here in Croatia, this man is doing a hell of a job smile. Intake manifold and TB also ported. To complete the head I'm searching for C&B cams for a reasonable price (maybe someone sells them?)

Vipec V88 ecu tuned by TH Performance, Siemens deka 660cc injectors, BW S200SX turbo .83 (also have 1.22 in stock), Turbosmart Progate 48mm wastegate. Milletech custom exhaust manifold, and 3" custom exhaust. This is the best exhaust I've ever seen! Absolutely quiet until fool thorttle and 5000rpm, but above- thunderstorm smile Vibratechnics engine mounts, Helix 3 plate clutch...

the coop when I bought it

Then LE/plus Recaro seats bought and upholstered in black leather. Dashboard and central console also upholstered in black leather.

click to enlarge click to enlarge click to enlarge

Former owner has done some carbon mods, nice looking smile

click to enlarge click to enlarge click to enlarge click to enlarge

(headlights polished but don't have pics)

Valve cover polished and 20v turbo letters painted in Ita flag smile

Water radiator, 3 row the biggest I could fit in laugh

Engine

Then something totally exotic! OZ Crono EVO 18", sand blasten and painted

click to enlarge click to enlarge

And final look of a coop laugh

engine completed and car is a daily driver smile

Now about engine, don't have pics with pistons, rods... smile
The exhaust manifold I talk about, T4 flange

1.22 vs 0.83 turbine housing, 0.83 now on a car. Both port matched to T4 as Fullrace recommend. Housing are twin scroll so I grinded the housing as much as I can to avoid restriction. don't have pics finished frown

click to enlarge click to enlarge click to enlarge

exhaust manifold and both housing ceramic coated

One video on a base map, just that you can hear that hell of a sound laugh
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tv8XfiGDw3g

Car mapped at 1.8 bar (with 2.0 head race ported), didn't dyno it but power is somewhere between 450-500 bhp. Cam variator solenoid broke on a day of mapping so spool is much higher than usual. cc 9 sec 100-200 is quite nice with dead cam solenoid so full boost reached at cc 115kmh smile

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TN8sAZvsL-4

Then Stolli racing one plate clutch ripped in 50km of driving.. and I've done something really f***ed up.. I've missed gear, shifted from 3rd to 2nd gear and bend all 10 exhaust valves. But what doesn't kill us makes us stronger so I bought a Stilo 2.4 head laugh
Stolli racing clutch plate after 50km

2.4 head

Intake valves comparison, 2.4 vs 2.0

Meanwhile I bought something very, very interesting laugh
Helix 3 plate clutch and 4x4 drivetrain

So, the work with 4x4 drivetrain has started.
Rear bushed bought from Ferrarist, Subframe painted and renewed with all new parts. Brake lines, bushes, bearings..

click to enlarge click to enlarge click to enlarge

I've mounted a 15/59 final gear ratio from Tempra 4x4.
Coupe gears on a 15 teeth shaft

Gearbox bell housing is from dedra integrale and other housings from coupe 20vt, also the gears and everything is from coupe

I have "dummy" gearbox and center diff to see how it fits on a car.
First I have to grind a engine hooking place (don't know the exact name) to mount a center diff

grinded and mounted in a car

click to enlarge click to enlarge

The engine block is 32.5mm longer than 16v. From under a car it looks like that

click to enlarge click to enlarge

The engine moved 12mm to the right, I still have to weld engine mount to be rigid, this is just for test

The other mount with dedra gearbox cover and mount fits perfect

And the center diff mount is a bit tricky smile
so I put a eccentric bushes in it smile
standard vs eccentric

Mount still has to be grinded so the engine will not hit it when throttle release

Mounted on a car, fits perfect smile

click to enlarge click to enlarge

drivetrain completely fitted and now dealing with oil sump, any advices about that?? smile

The fuel tank is from daewoo matiz (the metal one), fits perfect but in this moment I don't have pics of it. Soon I will update the thread with tank mounted smile

Cheers people! As I wrote, next update soon laugh

bad news today...

I left my block to the machine shop to make "block guard" and drill and tap holes for M12 head bolts (from 2.4JTD).
2.4JTD bolts are shorter for cc 4cm. I've submitted him precise scheme of how to drill and tap holes, but he tapped threads at same beginning of thread as on original (M10) bolts... So, now I can't bolt my head because there is no thread where bolt should be... Angry as devil grr

He is now in search of adequate bolts to fit.. But I don't think he will find something suitable, unless ARP custom made studs..

There's been some work done on the car.. slowely but securely smile It's really hard to work on this kind of project with monthly sallary under 500GBP, but I really love this and I can't help my self smile

Sorry for the blurry and light ruined pics, I've taken them with HTC ONE (M7), it have some kind of problem with camera.. pics looks really bad

The oil tank (aerator) with its dimensions is giving me a headache. I almost buy new one (thinner and taller) but I don't have founds for that at the moment, so I had to use what I've got.
The only place to mount it is front left corner of a car (I don't like boot option with 4m hoses)
And tadaaaa, the oil return connection is right at the chassis arm.. So I needed to drill a hole in it
from this:

hole drilled and 4mm steel tube welded to have rigid chasis arm

Tank mounted

The 3mm plate to close the hole in boot

Plate welded

Another hole for fuel pump drilled, and silicone gasket applied to the welds

Damping material applied on the plate to avoid vibration.
Plate is straight sheet, without bends. But it hold's me jumping on it with 100kg's smile

And the paint job starts,
first the engine area, cleanded and filler coat applied

Painted with matte black industrial color for the machines. Hope it will last and that engine will fit in without damage to the color

And the paint job, I have a friend that works at Porsche. He is a man with OCD smile , a real maniac so he was the only man for the job.
We trailed the car to it's parents house, this was the only place where he could do it without pressure and with full attention to details. Later we rented the paint chamber to apply the paint and clear coat

The maniac smile The rounded places were with damage, but I really didn't see the damage, really. That's why I call him a maniac

He tried to sand most of the white paint as it was lousy job with bunch of mistakes

The nano hand, this hand could feel nano imperfections hehe

wtf, he is hammering my car?!

The paint was a real challenge to choose. Almost decided white again, because it really looks stunning. But then decided to go with something stelath, dark grey that will look almost black at night... And one day, Ferrari Italia passed me with some dark grey color, I immediately know that this is the color I want!

So, we find a PPG dealer and looked at the color carts.
The color is Grigio Silverstone

The color on the sun

The same place of picture as above, just turned cards away from the sun. Almost black, perfect! smile

Back to the paint job,
The maniac is leveling imperfections on the lower/inner side of the doors, respect smile

We needed to fully strip the paint from the front bumper, on all corners the white paint was falling down.. on last paint job (done by previous owner) they didn't sanded/matted corners before new paint. stupid peoples...

Some pics of the inner side of the boot door. They also didn't sanded the old color, so we needed to strip the paint, AGAIN. Hell of a job
You can see how the dark blue color is shyne.. stupid people grr

Who will take off the door lock, rubbers.. it's a 5 minute job, too much for some people... again, stupid peoples..

And finnaly, car is ready for new paint

We arrived to the paint shop where we rented chamber

Car in

Maniac at his place smile

And tadaaaaaaaa, don't have a word. Car looks PERFECT!!! laugh

Maniac with OCD has done it, car is flat like glass. His words were: "It will need polishing". WTF??

Car arrived at my house for a few days, to clean some stuff and to put windshields back on.

White paint everywhere!! Stupid peoples...

Cleaned and mounted, no more white paint, yeaaaaaa! smile

Then, the carpet was dirty and blue. So i remowed it from the car, cleaned it and painted it with matte black waterbase spray for upholstery, nice results. Shame the pic don't show the color, as I wrote HTC ONE have serious problems with camera..

The door locks was fully dissasembled, cleaned and greased.

Leather on dashboard was cleaned and reconditioned

Polishing carbon fiber parts, I'm really happy with this smile
Maniac bought Rupes Big Foot 21mm polish maschine, he said "just for your car". Thanks friend smile

After/before. We didn't manage to level the epoxy resin because of high possibility to ruin the parts, so just polishing was accepted by me.

Mirrors polished, cleaned and assembled

That's it for now.
Cheers! smile
