I am with CLASSIC they want £450, (200 if i garage it but no chance of that)
3000mls £1500 value excess 350.
not garage in private car park south london.

Footman said not old enough for classic insurance,
And Glynwood said 650.
Lost my no claims when i decided to take classic insurance 3 years ago.
any ideas please for cheaper quote and plus i am 50 maybe saga!

I know this sounds daft, but give Direct Line a try.

They only charged me £156 with zero voluntary excess and £150 compulsory excess, for on-street parking in central Glasgow and 10,000 miles annual use.

I also used them to insure my Mum’s two cars (an IQ and an MR2 Roadster) in rural East Yorkshire, and both of those came in at exactly the same price – £156 each.

I have a suspicion that they are maybe chasing new customers by offering damn near everybody the same low quote.

Certainly off enough for a classic with footman as had a quote last night. Try and use their online quoting service. Alittle better informed than the people behind the desk

I am with FJ as well. £124 fully comp and agreed value, though the Coupe is garaged with 3000 miles a year with breakdown included.

coupdummy you were right insurance quote with footman online 278, and 5000mls instead of 3000.
why do they bother taking quotes over the phone?
