Are 916 GTV V6 struts a direct fit in a Coupe turbo? They look the same except for the "tags"

I have Koni inserts at the moment but they rattle in the tubes and I've just about had enough. I want to buy a full strut. Is there anything else I can order online?

Have you installed the Koni inserts into tubes of original Boge struts? Several weeks after the installation of my Koni inserts into some aftermarket struts I've started hearing some knocking sound when stopping. A friend of mine told me that the Koni inserts are designed to fit properly in Boge tubes. He was running his car with the Boge tubes for years and never got any strange noises. Unfortunately I didn't manage to find used OEM Boge struts in Bulgaria, so I made a custom metal sleeves in order to fill the gap between the inserts and the tubes.

They're inserts too.

And yeah they were fitted to OE struts.

I ended up getting a Koni authorised workshop to rebuild the struts. They welded new tubes on the top to locate the inserts properly. A great job done, you'd never know.
