All
Have done a search etc but confused.
My 20vt project is ongoing. Just got a nice Milltek system for it.
Engine likely to come out as have got belts/alternator/clutch/eng bay refresh to do.
While it's in bits, would you suggest a bigger downpipe? Race cat etc? It's done 167k but had an engine (23k) at 120k.
Otherwise standard.
Cheers
John

Always seem to have too many 20VT's to count......

What's the intention for the engine? Raise the hp?

Standard is ok but a bigger one has to be better for flow etc. I think there a quite a few here that run sports cat.

Mine is 3 inch all the way,but the limiting factor is the standard turbo flange at the beginning imo. Although the turbo is a hybrid and puts out 300+ hp.

Not particularly looking to go mad on the engine - just while it's out figured bolt-on mods may be worth it - but only if they're worth it!

If you are looking to go much above 250-275 bhp, the standard downpipe will become a restriction.

Just so happens that I have an aftermarket downpipe available..... wink
