Well, after numerous coupe's owned and large amounts of cash spent on them. It's time for me to part company with this marque and I must say, it's been a fantastic experience. But the last one has now gone and there won't be any others to come. I can't say that I will be visiting the forum much anymore, it's time to move on. Not one for posting messages such as this, usually, when I am done with something there is no announcement made. But the forum has been a fantastic resource for me and it's always been a pleasure to come on here. One of the reasons I am posting as I want to remove myself from a parts group I created on FB. I can't do it until I put in a admin person to continue the moderation of the page. There are around 580 members presently. Group can be viewed here > Facebook Group Anyone want to take this on? As I say, had a fantastic time and I hope the forum continues for a long time after this post appears. Been a pleasure to get to know you guys, good luck all and Long Live the Coupe

This is sad news Phil...in spite of you (and many others) having "retired" in the past then partaken of the rejuvenation drops you make this sound worryingly terminal The amount of time and money you've put into maintaining the numbers of coops on the road is immeasurable and that's not including the hundreds of hours of elbow grease involved in the countless detailing challenges you've undertaken. I hope you are not succumbing to some far-away political maelstrom and running for head-of-state, or even running an illicit inter-planetary grass-seed smuggling operation But do pop by whenever and post links to your latest creations Arrivederci mate

Don't worry we'll still be here when you get your next coupe. Not this time Graham....I know myself well enough to know when I am done. This of course means moving on, new horizons and positivity, not sadness over some perceived loss (Hey, check out the philosophy here). Cheers Ed. There is a move on the cards for next month actually, not head of state, but head of something else Meaning less time in the UK, nothing new there then Anyway, what about this FB group folks? It's hassle free, not the usual FB antics and very simple...

Not this time Graham....I know myself well enough to know when I am done. That's exactly what I thought too. I guess the difference is you're getting out while prices are low so are unlikely to be tempted back as I was by a major drop in prices, but if someone had told me after I got rid of my first coupe that I'd own another almost identical one 8 years later I'd have thought they were mad. Anyway, what about this FB group folks? Can't help there, I have nothing to do with that stuff.

Yes, I owned a LHD 1.8 (16V, inky) on UK plates when I lived in La Manga in Spain. My Dad drove it down from the UK with mother coming along too. They enjoyed it. Sold it in Spain before we left. It's the 16V Turbo I have never had. Too bad, nevermind

Interesting concept that. The Ferrari 355 part So let's assume no one wants to take on the small FB group .... For the love of the marque someone needs to give it a try. It can always be passed on...

Good luck Phil. I washed my cheap old Coupe on the weekend, and glanced back and realised there is something very special about the car.... Maybe you'll be back Phil. Even in a few years when the Coupe scene has evolved into something different. If not, best wishes for the future.
