If you mean was there a change over in the stock pumps then yes. They went from Walbro to bosche.
But the upgraded Walbro should fit ok.

I do stand to be corrected though.

Why are you looking to upgrade the pump?

Unless you are at big power you can run a direct feed to the original fuel pump, and there is a how to guide for this.

looking for about 350bhp i want to change the fuel pressure reg . so i want to up-rate the pump . when i go for mapping i just want to know everything is all good so i only have to do it once .

looking on eBay for a Christmas present ;-) i noticed that the walbro 255 fuel pumps seam to be advertised as pre 99 and 99+ so i just want to know what the differences are before i send the link to my misses!

Fair enough, heoriginal wiring is known to drop voltage so it is worth running the direct feed to ensure the new pump is getting the correct voltage so you know the correct fuel is arriving in the engine.

I can’t help with the differences but I’m sure someone will know smile
