The Coop's still sorn'd but I'm planning on jobs that need doing later in the spring. I know oem exhausts are scarce and I'm unconvinced of some of the non ss exhausts on ebay, possible fitting issues etc. Stainless may be an easier and more readily available option and I was looking at cybox that's based close by to me. Some of the threads on here are quite dated on the cybox front so what's the general opinion now if anyone has had one fitted recently. Straight swap is fine for me and needs to be fairly subdued! smile

Ha - just seen the threat from Andy below re cybox on a n/a and it looks like a no no so I've got my answer.. frown. Looks like a custom straight swap fit is probably the way to go.

If you get a SS one made, you can choose how loud (or not) you want it to be and choose the end pipe shape. They are more expensive, but then it's bespoke.

I got a custom stainless steel cat back from M1J exhausts in Wallsall. Mid sport sound, but the noise decreases as the revs increase so it doesn't really intrude into the cabin during the bulk of the journey and you still hear the engine warble. Was looking for a cybox originally but the company themselves didn't recommend it for an NA anymore

Thanks gents for your input.

BP - if you don't mind me asking how much did a custom one rush you and how long ago did you get it fitted?

mine was £290 including fitting at the garage- they basically make it to fit the individual car. Mine was also 2.5in diameter pipe

Well the deed is done - exhaust in a box for £86 incl delivery!!:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fiat-Coupe-2-0...=item4b1f4b4cda

Decided there were far more important tasks that needed my money shortly eg belts, major service, tyres all round etc so this can do for now. Howard at Alitalia said from the link it looks the job and surprisingly the reviews on Gerlach systems on other car forums are positive smile (they have confirmed that it's for the n/a as the suitable car bit seems to indicate otherwise wink )

Coupe with Allitalia at the moment for major work including fitting this exhaust. Howard has reported that it was a very good fit made easier with all the fixings so at sub £100 it was an absolute bargain cool Not many of us 16v's around anymore but if you want to have a back-up exhaust to hand grab yourself a deal! Sadly Howard reckons it won't fit the 16vt due to the different bore size.

Bit of a thread resurrection!

May be looking to get this done over the summer months so anyone had experience of:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/i/111252958706?chn=ps Proflow based in Brierley Hill, West Mids. Reviews average / good but seem very cheap. Claim they can do 16v's.

Or:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/220265909533?ul_noapp=true I know Mij exhausts are well established and is the price I'd be more expected to pay tbh. Hah - just realised that BallyPete had his done at MIJ! Anyone else with experience?

I have a16v na and recently went to have a s/s exhaust fitted, but unfortunately it is the manifold & flexible that are blowing, the supplier tried to obtain one, but couldn't source one (not a surprise). Any suggestions, help in order to replace or repair?

Hi Mike - my manifold was blowing from the welds at the cylinder head flange end.
I was kindly sold a good one from Antz at Auto sportivo but that has also developed the same issue
What I need to do is braze a repair to the flange joins on both my manifolds to fix them
If you are having drastic issues I would look at ALL the other Fiat's that were fitted with the lampredi engine, Uno, Tipo etc

no, but I plan to make better exhaust manifold for my engine (and for my tipo sedici too..so 2 copies..), stock one is quite restrictive for higly modded 2l 16v engine... those tiny pipes are good for engine size of 1.4 l
