I've been home brewing for some years now, not the full grain process, but using the kits. I did a day's course at a micro - brewery recently and got two handy tips that has really taken the hassle out the process.

The washing and drying stack:

https://www.lovebrewing.co.uk/bottle-washer-and-50-bottle-drying-tree/

and instead of using the twin lever bottle capper the one lever alternative:

https://www.brew2bottle.co.uk/bench-top-bottle-capper.html

Thought I'd share it for those who are interested in case you were unaware.

Although I shouldn't be promoting alcohol consumption but if you like your ales (haven't tried brewing anything else tbh) I really recommend giving it a go. Once you've done a decent brew you'll realise that most you get in the shops are a bit lifeless and similar in nature. smile

I used to brew my own wine back in the 80's Made from rhubarb or elderberries or elderflowers, all manner of ingredients. That was then, fast forward to now & I'm a lazy git these days, too much fannying about, everything has be very clean, I don't have the space, ach the list goes on..... laugh

All good fun though G_man. I "just" might give the old beer a go sometime.. beer

I'm an old git & happy with it,most of the time

Yep I bew some beers but not for a while - planning a few soon.

Another tip is to have a plastic clip lid spaghetti storage tub with starsan or similar in. Just pop your spoons etc in when not using them and you know they are clean. A spray bottle with starsan in is also useful.

A bottling wand fitted to a bucket with a tap also makes priming and bottling easier.
