Hi all.
Kind of newbie here, more of a returning visitor, (owned a 96 broom yellow non turbo about 4 years ago) basically I'm toying with the idea of buying the coupe with the above registration number, and I was wondering if anyone was familiar with it?

Type the registration number into https://www.check-mot.service.gov.uk/ and you'll see that the MoT expired in June 2018 and from the last pass in June 2017 there was quite a list of advisories, many pointing at corrosion underneath which suggest it might be a restauration project...

Yep, did that was wondering if anyone on here had any knowledge of it.
Possibility of overfussy mot tester/mot tester fishing for work.
Or if it is rotten as a pear, I guess I should just go and have a look smile

Unfortunately it's more likely he's doing his job. There's barely a coop in sight (excluding the fully-restored) which doesn't bear the signs of its age through the familiar corrosion points - along the top of the wheelarches at the seam with the boot - sill if it's fitted with side-skirts, floorpans, jacking points and rear 3/4 panels (where the pininfarina badges have been leaking internally) to name but a few.

If you're prepared to throw enough £££s at it though you could save it smile

Yes it could be an over-fussy MoT tester since the advisories only appeared all of a sudden one year, or maybe less-than-fussy testers in previous years?
