Hello to everyone. As first, I have to apologize for not driving Coupe (I am Marea Weekend HGT owner). After a long search for a Coupe 2.0 20VT engine and possible swap, I had to give up - there are none of this engines nearby ( I am in Balkan area). I would be grateful if someone could give me advices about making this engine into a turbo version. Hoping for Coupe stock power (220hp). There are some parts in this area (like a coupe manifold and turbo, pistons etc, coupe head with valves) but there is no complete engine to find. Which exactly parts from Coupe Turbo engine can be used for the 2.0 20V HGT turbo conversion? Thank you all in advance.

Thank you for answer. Found few days ago Lancia Kappa 2.0 20VT, and as I could find out, it is the same engine as the one in coupe (175A3.000), so I will go to check it. Also the engine block of 175A3.000 and 182B7.000 seem to be quite similar. Crankshaft is (probably) the same. Is it possible to swap everything from the 175A3.000 block (crank, conrods, pistons) into the 182B7.000 block, and also all other components from the turbo engine (cylinder head, intake manifold, throttle body etc)? That would be very helpfull for making the vehicle street legal.

Can anyone confirm if the crank in 175A3.000 and 182B7.000 is the same? That would be very helpfull.

I'm not 100% sure, but isn't 182B7.000 engine the 20v N/A and not 20vt?
According to ePer, for the Fiat Coupe 20vt the crankshaft is part number 5894836 (earlier 46471126) whereas for the Lancia Kappa 20vt the same part number 5894836 (earlier 46471126) is shown along with a later number 71736261.
I bought a new crank with part number 71736261 and it fitted my 20vt OK, but it also fits non-turbo Bravo and Marea as well as Kappa, Lybra and Thesis.
You are thinking of transferring the crank/rods/pistons from the Kappa 20vt into your Marea 20v block? And all the ancillaries? There might be an issue with the "turbo" block having some extra drillings or other features on the outside of the block that make a swap difficult, but it would be interesting to see if it works...

@DaveG 182A1.000 is 2.0 20V N/A 147 hp engine found in Bravo, Marea, Coupe, Kappa. 182B7.000 is 2.0 20V N/A 154 hp engine found in Bravo, Marea, Coupe, Kappa and Lybra. (that engine is in my Marea) 175A3.000 is 2.0 20 VT - 220 hp turbo engine found in Coupe and Kappa. Just took a look into eper - part number 71736261 crank is in Coupe 175A3.000 engine ( 1996-2000), and also in 182A1.000 and 182B7.000. Yes you got it right, or even simpler to say - the idea is to replace Kappa's block with the one from Marea and keep everything else. Oil turbo feed and case breather port is not problem to solve if the rest of the block is appropriate. An interesting thing - in this marea (600 hp+): http://www.torquestats.com/static/cars/modified/MWT/43/gallery_711.jpg?1221058274is modified 182A1.000 engine block, and not the 175A3.000.

I really like how Marea behaves on the road. Still, somehow I feel that the these N/A 20V inside is a bit too weak for her chassis. Engine in mine is a bit tired, and I dont feel like a good and smart investment to renew that engine, knowing that I wouldnt be satisfied with the performance in the end. Although, if we speak rationally, doing this sort of thing (swap) nowadays is a bit crazy - still it will be fun, and it will be a good result, nice car which is really fun to drive (and certanly unique). In a few days I (hopefully) should get my hands on the Kappa, and the project should begin. P.S. How do I put images with thumbnail in the post, dont know if it has something to do with me being new member (and being locked maybe), however I can not find that option. English is not my native language, I apologize for grammar in advance.

What part of Balkan are you talking about? If you are in Bosnia engine can be found easy, Croatia a bit hard but still can be found on local boards, in Serbia it is really hard to get your hands on one. I have 2 engine one from coupe and one from kappa 2.0 20v turbo. If you are interested let me know.
Best, Dragan
