It’s a very, very well invested coupe and one with lots of documented history on the forum. It’s this car https://www.fiatcoupeclub.org/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=1295138#Post1295138 with the discussion thread for the original restoration project here https://www.fiatcoupeclub.org/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=1295138#Post1295138

Following the completion of Duffys project the car was sold and I think it’s completely fair to say not a lot was done to it in the following few years.

I bought it in early 2017 from then owner, who was also a forum member.

Since my buying the car it has had:

04/2017 Full service & belts changed + gearbox oil & a new rear wheel bearing. Bill for £700

05/2017 Floor pan fully sorted - seats out, carpets out, fuel tank off and any issues addressed. The floorpan is rock solid now with no issues whatsoever. New front rigid brake lines, new wishbone, Bill for £1441.

Full respray by Darkside body shop in Leicester. I know the guy there has painted lots of coupes, and a couple for me in the past. It wasn’t a glass out respray but a very thorough job done - doors off, door kick guards off, bonnet off, boot lid off, bumpers off. I have lots of pics from the respray work to add to the cars history.

12/2017 new battery fitted, bill for £77.

01/2018 Clutch changed - it was very high and just beginning to slip in 4th if you put your foot down so I had it changed. Other front wishbone changed + cam cover & gasket. Bill for £669.

Scabby/peeling red rocker cover removed, stripped and polished to a mirror finish. New rocker gasket fitted - the old one was the source of an oil leak. This was changed in Jan 2018 along with the clutch.

Scabby/peeling red rocker cover removed, stripped and polished to a mirror finish. New rocker gasket fitted - the old one was the source of an oil leak.

New airbag sensor fitted as the light was on. These are hard to come by for the plus model but managed to source a new one. Cost £240. The codes on the ecu need resetting now, which will be done in the next week or so when we get a dry day so I can take it down to my local garage.

She’s a real head turner again now and mechanically spot on. There are plenty of cheaper coupes around but most will come with undiscovered issues & potentially horrendous repair bills.

Issues: Two of the alloys could do with a refurb. There are no kerb marks or anything, just some lacquer peel but this is an easy/cheap fix.
