Well guess what? Its time to sell up! I'm selling up for a couple of reasons.

1. I'm getting a Diesel! An Audi A4 1.9TDI quattro to be exact. I'm doing more travelling with my job and need to cut down on the fuelling bills.

2. Save money on Insurance. I'm getting a fairly good deal with my FCCUK discount with Adrain Flux but can still make savings here as well.

3. I'm starting to think ahead about getting myself Mortgage etc so these few things added up mean extra money saved.

OK then whats the opinion? This is the first place I've posted as I thought I owed it to the FCCUK community to have first pass. I'm still deciding on a price as I'm not sure to sell as is or start stripping.

I've got a few other parts like Pro Alloy uprated Rad (Still in original bubble wrap) that I'm debating selling seperate or with car as well.

Its in getting a full service at the minute and then going to the bodyshop to get a few small scuffs on the front bumper and stone chips removed.

I'm quite sure I would not get as much if I sell in England as Coupes are more common over there.

Well hit me with the opinions!

Ally

Its not a for sale post yet!

I want to get an idea of "Whats it worth" as it sits, should I sell complete (inc OE alloys, bodywork and Pro Alloy rad) or do I strip?

This is very much just to gauge opinions and ideas. While at the same time putting out the word that my car will be up for sale soon.

No point in breaking it up to sell, you have nothing of any real value on there, only the front mount and the wheels, but they set the car off.

Value - maybe up to £5k, prob nearer to £4/4.5, but because of the body work, it may be hard to shift, everyone likes standard, then again you may find someone who is looking for a unique looking car and it may get snapped up within minutes.

Does that help \:D

I know a few on here aren't keen on the bodywork. The forum seems to be getting more pureist. However as you say I need the right person that wants to modify a Coupe, but doesn't want to spend the money I have doing it! I have reciepts for thousands and I've done everything to the car. I'm only the second owner.

Is there anybody out there thats willing to travel to NI to pick the car up? Will I have to sell locally to a non enthusiast?

In my humble opinion propably one of the finest red 20Vt coupes I have witnessed, used to have it as a screen saver until I bought my own. Shame have not got the funds or I would be on my way to the Stranraer ferry as we speak.

Sorry to hear you're thinking of selling Ally. I'd say, if you can find the right buyer, £5K ... you might also want to consider selling it down here, they buyer would have to pay around 1.2K Euro VRT though. Your car certainly got alot of attention from passers by down here at the meet.

I can't believe it! \:o You love(d) your car!
It's a stunning, head turning car ... don't do it - you'll miss it.
I haven't seen you since our trip to Athlone, but I saw the coop about a week ago when my wife dragged me up to Junction One!!!
Don't do it.....!!!!!!! Still can't believe it \:o

Strange timing! I put this thread up today and got the car back this evening after a really good service. Ah feels like a different car. Took it for a good run and ended up going up and down a 2mile stretch of Dual Carrigeway 3 times before a wee run up a mountain road to the bodyshop. Was a really cold evening and with the FMIC the Coupe was loving it, and so was I.

This really is one of those fights between my head and my heart.

I love his car and have to admit love the attention it gets me! Problem is that it gets my wallets attention more than I'd like as well!

Decisions decisions................

KEEP IT! You've put too much time and effort (and money) into getting it the way you want to let someone else have it. An Audi A4 will never get the same attention or put as big a smile on your face. See you at the niimc next month? ;\)
