Hi,
Can you help me put a fair price on my coupe. It is time to sell as I no longer get enough use out of it as I now go to work on the train.
Fiat Coupe 20v Turbo. In Silver. 1998 R Registered 26/02/1998 - Original receipt for £25k. Just 56k Miles with lots of old MOTs to prove. Both blue and red keys present. FSH - Fiat and Specialist. MOT until 08/06/2008. Black leather interior, electric sunroof, air condiioning. Very expensive Pioneer CD player. Bodywork and interior in very good condition for age.
Lots of receipts, some of the major ones being:
17/10/2003 - New cambelt - £783.72 08/07/2004 - New radiator fitted - £247.81 09/06/2006 - New cambelt - £1010.09 28/10/2006 - New clutch fitted - £608.44 31/03/2007 - New exhaust fitted - £290.00 05/06/2007 - New Turbo - £927.03
I want a quick sale but do not wnt to let it go for silly money.

The car is in Leeds, West Yorkshire. I'm not sure how much I want for it. It is only worth what someone is prepared to pay for it. From what JimO says I should be looking for 4k - 4.5k - so I think if I put it up at £4,250 and see what happens. I know I paid and have spent a hell of a lot more than that in the 2 years or so that I have had it, but that is the joy of owning a sports car I guess

How many owners has it had? Is it modified or standard? If you are in no rush to sell, put it up for a higher price and see if you get any sniffs

Ok, so where is the best place to advertise? I will post up in this forum first - this is where I bought the car from about 2 years ago and I would much prefer it to go to a member. But if I get no joy then is autotrader better or is ebay better. I am going to pay for a full valet soon so the car should look lovely.

Here then pistonheads / autotrader If it's a good one, it should clear from here and maybe say who you bought it from, as people may know it, if its was a regular car, that can help with the sale.

It has had 2 former keepers, last keeper was a coupe forum member and he looked after the car well, as I have.
The car gets very very little use and so it has to go - in that respect I would like to sell it sooner rather than later.

OK, as soon as bobbs grants me access to post on the "for sale" forum it will be going up here at £4,250. I haven't taken any photos yet or had the valet done but I will soon. If anyone reading this want to make me an offer before it goes up then reply to this or email at kelly at walkerk45.freeserve.co.uk.

You might want to try sending a pm to Nigel instead as Bobbs and Scooby are a bit busy. Good luck with the sale, someone will snap it up! ps. get rid of the @ symbol and replace it with *at* or you'll get spammed
Last edited by stan; 03/09/2007 02:11. Reason: added the ps, unlike JimO who tends to take it :D
