Time to get this thread started.

This is the arrangements as they stand, after being discussed at the meet.

Weekend after easter, meet at sportsman. After meal head down to Whoop Hall, where we are going to try and book the whole hotel which will lead to a discount. Drinking will commence before dinner, during and after. Last man standing wins.

As my car should now be on the road for this meet i've just tried to book Whoop Hall and they are fully booked for that weekend!

They recommended the Pheasant Inn at Casterton.
Does anybody have any feedback on this place and is it nearby?

ok sportsman booked at 1pm 5th apr so i would say leveing the whoop at about 12,

is there still room for the hotel, is this event still on, anyone from the north east going, were is it located the event

right ive read through all 14 frigging pages for this and if people never posted non topic related posts it might have being easier to understand, i would like to go to this event and stay over,

1 is there any rooms left,
2 which is the first night people are staying
3 how many nights are people staying

2. Some people are staying Friday some aren't so there's not really an answer to that one
3. People are staying for different lengths of time so again not really an answer

Basically you want to be on Saturday and stay overnight.

friday some arive at the whoop and are staying till monday but the main day is saturday were we all meet at the woop a drive up to the sportsman arive about one,and have din dins,then back to the woop and get ready for dinner.sunday i would love to go to lake windermere but see what the others are doing first

From what I can gather Whoop Hall is full but it might be worth phoning to confirm.

I have included several alternatives in the first post now.

One suggestion that was made which has not been included here is that people should swap mobile phone numbers to avoid getting lost if the convoy gets split up which seems sensible.

Oh, and please try to keep the thread tidy this time, it takes ages to edit down!

just rang whoop, there fully booked, so who else is intrested going for definate, and is anyone else going to any of the other hotels posted above, just would like to keep the group what cant get into whoop together thats all

If any females want to go to this, my room was the last one left in Whoop for that weekend, with twin beds.

Well I'm definitely stopping over on the saturday, but haven't looked into where yet; probably find a decent B&B relatively close to the whoop. If anyone finds anywhere perhaps they could post up details and then we can get a few of us booked in there and split cost of taxi etc.

the whoop is out by itself, probably less than a mile ouside the village, there are quite a few B&B's in the village, can't remember the name of the one i stayed in last year but it was on the opposite end of the village.
I found that were i stayed parking wasn't the best but on the whoop end of town the parking wasn't too bad.
Maybe PM Wishy as he stayed in one closer to the whoop last year
