Hmmm, it would certainly be a cure for my Speed Pink roof, just a bit of a drastic option though.....

It was a shell going off to be weighed in so before filling it up with scrap I chopped it to see how much work is involed with making a convertible.
It will make a nice project next year, I can see a chrome rollover cage being fitted for safety, but it has to be the right shell and colour first, probobly going to be a speed red with a faded roof

Ohhhhhh thats gonna be a sweet project, is it actually MOT passable if you do?

I imagine a lot of strengthening work's gonna be needed!

It'll need a VIC test for the MOT but I've been through this before with roof chops.

The cage is the key with the strengtening, six points with chassis cross bracing, somehow I've got to work that one out yet.

It'll probably take 12mths worth of work to complete, 3 if I go at it full time but I've got to earn my bread and butter at the same time and finish my Hybrid track car first

I don't think i'll bother dave, I'll look into it maybe after the cars finished but it's going to be more of a sunny weekend toy really.
