I'm thinking of taking a look at the blue 20VT Non Starter Solo Italia have on AutoTrader for £750. The plate is P259 VUA.

I'm after something cheap to work on as a project but any extra info I can gather would be useful \:D

Ring them up and find out if its got aircon/leather/service history and if it turns over !! and what is the mileage ?

Then report back, but prices of 20vt are dropping and I reckon once you had spent money fixing this one you could have just as easily have bought a good condition one in the first place.

Might be something an auto electrician can fix quickly or it might be something terminal. Also do you know what condition the clutch/cooler/turbo etc etc etc are in ? Service history would at least give an indication that it had been looked after.

Drop Gaz a PM as he works there.

Gut feeling says I wouldn't bother, if it doesn't start you don't have a clue where you stand.

I agree. If it doesn't turn over you don't know if the engine is sweet or knackered. You don't know if the clutch is sweet or knackered.

Mmmm... for some reason I have a craving for sweets

Agree with all of what Sugarbear says here (well, maybe not the "prices dropping" bit ;\) \:D ).

As a quick heads-up ePER states (if its accurate) that this car was supplied with black leather. If its no longer got it, then that may indicate that the car has been used as a donor.

I reckon it has to be worth a go for £750 if it turns over. If it can't be fixed I am sure there are some useful parts on it.

If I had the space I would buy it myself.

I would stay well away, because as with all garages if it was an easy fix they would do it themselves and then sell it at a much higher price......
