Yes, you are liable to pay for damage to the wall/ barriers etc.

Sorry, there are some things you simply have to sort out for yourself, track insurance is one of them.

My worst fear would be taking another member out you see as a newbie so track insuracne i feel would be well worth it.

Dont think i could live it down on the forum if that happened.....

As magooagain said, it is really a matter of not pushing yourself too hard at first.
There is a lot of space on the track, it's over 3 miles long and with a maximum of 60 cars at one time.

The run-off ares at Spa are generally pretty wide too.

I have a feeling I'm going to be the slowest on the track (with only a mere 20v NA) and with the highest mileage! Oh well, hopefully I won't be the only 20V on there?!

2 ways of looking at it, I can change the car to a turbo (so will pay out the difference of what mine sells for and what I can buy a 20VT for) and then do up for the track **OR** set about track prepping my NA.

Bizaarly, the latter option sounds best not only from a cost point of view but safety (I know the car). I'm new to track driving so won't be hammering round corners as it is anyway. If I can't go fast, I'm less likely to crash fast wink

I take it my 20V will be ok to be going around with the turbos running riot around me? (promise I'll stay out everyone's way)

Stop worrying, I have a 20VT, I'll be tootling along behind you, scared of ruining my pride and joy ... bragging rights will belong to those who venture out for the expedition and experience, not to whoever over takes the most .....

That's my view anyway laugh

For those worried about taking your car out on track, why not simply book yourself into one of the grand parades? This is a speed limited session (you're not allowed to overtake the pace car) but still a great experience. Plus you get to drive with all sorts of other mouth-watering Italian exotics - I was playing with a Lamborghini Miura and a Ferrari Testarossa last year. Just a thought idea

CD, payment will be fine next Wednesday.

JBT,It's the Club's UK bank account that you pay the money into not an overseas transfer.

As Boosted7 says, I'd first get a run on the parade sessions, then maybe passenger in a car for the Coupe session and even the Scuderia (only the fastest machinery on track). After the passenger ride, you can get your own car on there. People are reasonably careful to be honest, but there were a few crashes last year to be honest.

I reckon we could hit 50 soon at this rate.

Guys the whole Spa experience is just about driving around one of if not the best circuits in the world, not trying to do qualifying laps. Enjoy the experience and go at a pace that YOU feel comfortable with. There will be lots of people trying to do qualifying laps so you can marvel at their car control as you pass them sitting in the gravel. That includes me before anyone pipes up!!

If anyone who's not been before and is relatively new to track driving wants a little bit faster run then they can come out with me. My car comes on a trailer and goes back on a trailer so i can afford to push a little harder. That way you get to feel relaxed about damageing your own car.
