Hi Paul

Bring the car down for the day - It's not a concours show.

Just make sure not to give any cake to that scruffy looking guy with a beard (Dan) he doesn't deserve any!

Heh, thanks, I'll give her another look over, but I'm pretty ashamed at the moment! Mechanically (now!) pretty sound, but cosmetically in need of TLC. A bit like Tevez, goes like a dream, just doesn't look pretty.

Will give her a wash and polish at the weekend, see if I can cover a few of the scars!

And thumb Joe. He's probably put an H in my surname, common mistake...

I've emailed Paul and offered to be a Marshal on the day. Anything I need to do to try and get the club the best spot or anything?

Where on the A38 and which pub?

Given I live 2 miles from the city centre, it will have to be close, unless the plan is to all travel into the centre together??

The Travellers' Rest

This is where a group of us met up last year, so that we could convoy together (and announce our arrival in style laugh ). Because of your location Dan, the convoy could meet at the Travellers' rest and then hook up with you en route?

I'm going to be a marshal at this one, so I have to be there in position by 7am for the briefing.

Been to the pre-event marshals briefing this morning, and so I can reveal that the planned location for the Coupes this year will be...<drum roll>... Corn Street, on the right hand side, outside Walkabout/Caffe Nero-ish. We'll be in good company as the Ferraris are being parked opposite smile

As I'm sure we'll all be informed this week when we receive passes and whatnot, Corn St is going to be in the 'Yellow zone' and we will be required to enter through the 'Pink zone' (ooh-err) which will be the end of St Nicholas Street junction with High St (Point A on Google map link).

I'll be there early, so hopefully I'll be able to park all you guys up next to mine as long as you're not too late arriving.

Sound good?

James

I'm not too sure actually Dan, but the earlier the better I expect. It might say in the packs the time from which cars can arrive.

In the past few years, we've usually arrived @ 7.30am and there's always been cars parked up well before us.

Don't suppose anyone's going with a Code Reader that can reset Airbag Lights? (worth an ask). smile

Last year a number of us met up on the A38 (see my earlier post) and then drove into Bristol and picked up those in Bristol. I think we met around 7ish - any other takers?

MABR - I have the startrek leads and can bring them for you to use if you want, you supply the laptop though. I have never used them because it's way too complicated for a valleys boy to work it out crazy

That's very kind of you but I'm afraid I'm probably worse than you at this kind of stuff - when you mentioned Star Trek I thought you were bringing me a DVD. shocked laugh
