when i scrapped my old car i left my nice blue and silver key and the meta fob key attached to the keys in the ignition like a doenut!!

i have got a clifford alarm sitting in my shed from a previous vehicle but dont fancie fitting it to my coupe. was wondering if i buy a meta alarm ecu and a fob key from a vehicle thats being broken do you recon i could just plug it in and away it will go?? or do i need other components?

Call Abacus Alarms in South London; google as they have an internet site. The guy there is very helpful (also very busy) but he will be able to give you the info you need,

Stuff the alarm. The ECU has knows nothing about the alarm. You can drive the car with the alarm sounding. All it is is a noisy central locking box.

The real work preventing theft is done between the ecu and the imobiliser (code box)

not worried about the alarm had to disconnect it to stop the flasher going off when i was driving it!!

its just a luxury to have a key fob
