Having been back 12 days on leave, I thought it was about time I detailed a car - well, you all know I'm addicted to this stuff!
The car receiving the attention was Neil's (Barnacle on the forum) 20VT that had never seen a detail in all it's years, and it showed!
BODYWORK ONLY DETAIL
This car had perhaps the dullest paintwork I had ever come across. It was duller than a winter's day! Duller than the 9 o'clock news, duller than a dull thing....
What, you're thinking yeah right! Well take a look at the pic below and this was
AFTER washing and clay baring!!!
Boot lid See, told you
So, intense work was needed, Neil was in a rush to get back from FCSS (place of detail) I needed to take the family out for a buffet chinese, we'd better get started. It should also be noted that the car has had seen paint previously (what coop hasn't!) and the quality of the lacquer used for this was definitely not the best I have come across, so the actual clarity after mopping was the best I could get from the car! Not the best, but better than before. Hence the dullness after the clay bar!
Process for those interested!

That's about it really, long day, nearly broke my nose mopping a panel (panel was not affixed to car, when the mop sponge grabbed my top and then swung up into my face! Nice! Claret everywhere!
