Hi all,

I purchased an LE a couple of weeks ago and have been having problems with the central locking not working (the car wouldn't lock with either the fob or the key, had to try to lock it 5 times before it would lock with the key). Fearing an expensive fix I had a search on the forum and then tried lubricating the locks (3 in 1 oil) and then checked out the boot light switch. It wasnt switching off when closing the boot. Adjusting the boot light switch with an adjustable spanner sorted the problem! smile

I'm a very happy chappy thanks to this forum.

Cheers,

Stu

Haha. I have a list that I'm slowly working through. Next the aircon and hoping it's just a regas it needs.

yea I too had issues a while back - alarm and locking issue, the coupe is a bit moody unless everything is as it should be, and when it aint - its a pain in the arse to find.

with this in mind there are many easy fixes on the coupe - time is the key chapper.

As for the regas - check to ensure that the gas canal is not cracked in anyway - I saw a thread a ways back about the AC not blowing cold soon after regasing - I too thought mine might have been cracked - got the garage to check it when I has the motor out for some maintenance about year and a bit ago.

fingers crossed its just a plain re-gas, and happy chilled motoring.
