When piping an inercooler is it best to use solid pipe as must as possible. Does exessive use of silicone hoses cause unecessary lag

Solid hose all the way would be the ultimate best way,so silicone hose could be classed as a weak point. But they normaly hold out well if installed properly. Its the very high HP coupes that get some silicone hose broblems. Good clamping and instalation is very important.

Never had a problem using silicon boost hoses, even when I was running close to 2 bar

no problems at all with silicon hoses, proper stuff like samco will not cause any problems, and certainly no extra lag.proper clamping is the key, personally tested to 2.2 bar.have seen 3 bar on other cars

Using silicone hoses would never produce any lag worth thinking about. But one good reason for using metal tube is that it's significantly cheaper!

The hoses are not the problem,it's the route you take, shortest route will always be better...

Pro alloy will not do a hard pipe as there is no play for engine movement,so thats why there pipe work is the way it is,and it's what most people copy...
