For MK meetups: Found a nice new pub in MK yesterday that apparently is quite famous for car meets. The Caldecotte Arms off the H10. Very easy to find. Big pub, does good food, big car parks and is right on a big lake with marina.
If anyone interested...

It's going to be after 8pm by the end of the Karting I think. Not sure if food will still be served by that time, but I can find out!

Loving the names, however might be best to just stick to our forum names? To avoid too much confusion? Also 'the db' is a different sort of driver to shabba.
Oh and civic might get his manhood removed if he has to explain his Ben Johnson nickname.

I've done a separate post as the last thread could swamp up this important information. Venue for the daySunday 23rd July2-2.30pmLocation A5 Truck Stop M1 Junction 9, head NORTH up the A5. You will see a Holiday Inn Hotel on the left (shown on the map), up on the right is a shell garage. Just before the shell garage is a large truck stop, this is the meeting place.3.30pm Drive Up the A5, I've yet to work this one out, but basically will be straight up the A5, onto a lot of dual carriageways around milton keynes and then to the karting, I wil ltry and do a map later for this. , last time there were quite a few as it turned into a bit of a race to get there the quickest The run is straightforward, up the A5 to Milton Keynes then turn right onto the A509, at the next roundabout turn left, and then up another dual carriageway, and then again left at the next roundabout as seen in this map. About 300yds on the left is the entrance to Daytona. A5 to Daytona Karting 430-5pm Arrive at Daytona Milton Keynes Karting. Location Milton Keynes Karting Time to park, and then to enter Daytona, and get suited up for debriefing 515pmDebriefing at Daytona 6pmGrand Prix event, 10 minute practice and then time trial for qualifying Then a 40 minute sprint race, all cars out on the track at the same time 7pmSession ends, more tyre kicking and looking under bonnets, and examining tail pipes Daytona Karting Daytona Karting International Circuit Circuit map Joe

Joe - just to clarify. I've paid for: Me, my dad (colin) - be nice to the old fella guys or he'll put you into a wall or two...., and my bro (luke) I'm not sure if I can make the whole day at the moment - might have to meet at the track.

LOL - PLEASE don't leave my sticker as Ben Johnson! I think Forum names would be best - Civic is fine. If you could make one up for my mate Bob - 'DirtyBob' would be good. I'm pretty sure he's still attending.

wear trainers you don't mind getting mashed up on the throttle / brake cables and steering arms. Otherwise yes, I'll be wearing the lightest possible clothing as you're gonna get SWEATY after 40 mins at the wheel putting maximum effort in

Comfortable trainers, and thin ish soles so you can feel the pedals better.
Definately bringing some shorts with me. My mate gave me a t-shirt with 'I AM THE STIG' for my birthday, I won't wear it to karting as I might make a fool of myself..

Sub event, Civic_Legend is to arm wrestle suba, I'm the promotor for this event.
Civic is the un-defeated local champion, suba is the modern day king kong. Can Civic tame the beast? Suba is naturally the bookies favourite.
Place your bets now!
Other available bets include 'how many karts shabba will break' - I managed 2 last time I went. I'm sure I saw a sticker on one 'toys r us kids kart, ages 4-7'.

What are the odds on Suba? I'll put £5 on him to win & 30-40 seconds into the bout. Dependant on the time my course finishes i'll try to pop up for the post karting tyre kicking.. and of course hand delivering Kevin his HIDS!!

Is that because she is 'riding' with me Neil thanks for the head up - I think we should miss most of the roadworks as we'll be using the A5. Ken its not my fault you didnt post it 2 days ago and dont use me as an excuse for why you got worried about everyone finding out about your karting skills Nobby, Sal isnt coming. Cant wait must try and clean the car before Sunday.

Too late now for any stragglers really, the numbers twenty and that's what they said!
If any extra turn up, it is debatable whether they will be able to drive, dependant if there are any spare karts.
