Only three definites for this so far? Surely we could put on a better show? Typical too as the one event I am sure of being able to make this year.

Car should be fine too, as it's having it's annual service plus belt change at Motormech the Wednesday before.

This one comes after the weekend of Spa. Then the very next weekend at Brooklands. These are 2 of the biggest events of the year.

If either of my cars and my wallet survive these 2, I may pop along.

So put me down as a provisional for now!

Buggar, my business partner is currently in UK, Kent, but he will arrive back here on that weekend. I would have suggested to him to drop in to meet some of the other Coupe fanatics.

I wonder if the 1899 3 1/2 hp will have pride of place?

Not a definate, but I'm considering trying to get along to this. Not long had my first coupe and not been to any gatherings/social events yet. It's my 40th birthday the day before, so could be a nice little birthday present to myself!

There's one thing to note - if we are intending on parking up together and making a display of it (and why wouldn't we?), then the advice is to arrive together, as they don't allocate a particular area for the different marques!

So, a bit of careful planning before the day I guess!

A little early, but I took the opportunity as it was nice and cool today to clean true car, and give it some McGuiars (?) 3 stage treatment on the paintwork, plus 'bumper-care' the black.

And depending which direction everyone is coming from, perhaps an earlier meet-up and a little sedate drive around the New Forest beforehand, thus enabling arrival as a group.

This was the meeting point tried last year with a good empty car park.

I think 8.00 - 8.30 may be a little early for some of us as it's going to take about 2 1/2 hours to get there for me and I suspect a couple of others.

More realistic would be 9.00 - 9.30 as Event doesn't open until then anyway!

I might get there quicker if I miss out a few roads on the way!

We got to the event at 9.00 last year a little later than expected, we had a good plot. Times have changed since last year hence the extract from last year's thread. I agree 9-9.30 would be better. I have an 1.5hr drive too, so the later start is better for all

Yes - got mine last week!

Planning on leaving at about 7.00am so should be there somewhere around the 9.00 - 9.15.

Although at that time we should be able to skip a road or two and get there a little earlier

Was going to buy my ticket on the day, as I'm still not 100% sure if I will make it.

The final decision is partly weather dependant and partly about how bad the 'morning after the night before' feeling is!

If I do come along, I'll be travelling down the A35 from Honiton and via A31 past Ringwood, in case anyone else is travelling that direction.

So, is it to be Pondman's suggested rendezvouz at The Heath Hotel, 0900-0930, to then travel on to Beaulieu as a group and hopefully get a decent pitch? Suits me, although the 0700 start on a Sunday will be a bit of a shock!
