I think we need to get a lynch mob together, for the CAPS LOCK ON "TURBO" badge on the dash strip alone...

Mine insurance is similar to that for classic insurance.

However, the thing that is most worrying is the number plate.

I do like his description of a 'project car':

Fitted new colder spark plugs NGK, new air filter, new n/s light, new Valeo radiator with a years guarantee, complete fuel system flush, injectors cleaned, momo gear knob, new front pads, Gtec 2 performance chip upgrade, I also kept original chip, new oil filter and oil, graphics to sides and bonnet,

So basically just serviced it then, oh and added some stickers laugh

Yes, I noticed that too. Do you suppose the car is often to be found lurking around the nearest junior school? nono

Is there a bag of sweets in the boot or a picture of some puppies in the glove compartment?

"one small point to add, when I brought the car it had lacquer peel on the bonnet and rear quarter panels. I have remedied this with layers of paint compound and polish(please see pictures)."

.......oh and I've covered the car with bloody great graphics to try and hide my handy work! rolleyes

......boot lid is an interesting colour confused

think the boot lid is the right colour, it's the rest of the car that's a little dodgy laugh

And £600 for phedo plate - someones been "back doored" I think biglaugh

Also from a project I would have expected some under bonnet cleaning, wiping or something....

I've never taken mine to 155 mph to be able to check, but I can't believe the gearing will even go to 170 mph ??

Given the lengths he's gone to in describing a service I doubt he's forgotten to mention the odd gearbox change...

5th is geared to 173mph I think, with the standard 6800rpm limiter...

I came across this beauty some days ago. I remember thinking, apart from the glaringly obvious, that engine & bay just does not looked loved enough, in fact I would say it's been ignored.

I'm an old git & happy with it,most of the time
