...a Jag XK8. OK, not exactly 'trading', but buying one and selling the other. Fancied a bit of a change so have gone for the slightly silly Jaaaaaaaag. Will be selling both the 16vT and 20vT soon (both Broomys!). Keep your ears open

I suspect you have done your homework but beware (I had a xj8 which uses the same 3.2 v8)
Firstly timing chain, make sure this has been done, if you here a slight rattly nose at start up barter down as a change is expensive. Next, depending on year you want to see the car start cold, ask for oil usage figures. The early one's had issues with the bore lining material which resulted on poor compresion, issues with hot start and oil usage.
Electrics are a bit of a sod with these as well so check every button
That said, I loved mine and would have another, just forget using it in the ice or snow!

Keep one coddled up in a garage somewhere.... you'll only get peanuts for them at the moment, and I'm sure you will feel the urge to take the covers off and go for an Italian blatt. Shouldn't cost much to insure on classic car insurance with limited mileage.......

Yep checked all of those, as my dad has an XKR, so been through all of that before!
Tempting to keep one of them and 'share' it with my Dad as a second car; we'll see what happens!

Funny, I keep toying with S-Type R ideas but then I don't have room on the drive for another car! Isn't the XK a 4.0 / 4.2 depending on year? Good look with the buy and IMO a very good choice!
