I see this is on Film4 tonight; linky

Now although the write-up intrigues me, there are two issues; Vin Diesel is in it. Secondly, Charlotte Rampling is in it. That's usually enough to kill any film, if they appear in the billing separately but together? confused

Anyone seen it and prepared to offer a steer to watch/avoid?

Thanks in advance smile

It's okay but not a classic.

Vin Diesel's looks too close to Mrs Stan for comfort?

You have no idea how close to the truth that is! sick

Thanks though, I might give it half an eye, can't see anything else worth watching, bearing in mind we have Freeview/Freesat.... frown

The most impartial review i could find;

http://www.cinemablend.com/reviews/Babylon-A-D-3330.html

May contain a spoiler or two not mentioned in your TV guide.

Myself and Mrs Jimbob saw it at the cinema and enjoyed it immensely, perhaps for entirely the wrong reasons though.

It's not a very good film, but I would probably say it's worth a watch to form your own opinion. The first time I saw it was at the cinema and wasn't blown away, but over time enough of the post-apocalyptic landscapes and ideas lingered in my head to make me rent it from LoveFilm and watch it again. I'd probably still watch it again on telly of an evening or something.

Well I now know what the "AD" stands for at the end of the title...... Absolute Dross! hurl

*Never* before have I sat through a movie so expectantly, so fervently hoping, wishing and praying that it might, just might, get better. It didn't!

Even the end was utter, utter, utter KEECH! (a Glasgow word, look it up).

What happened? Did Vin Paraffin kill the writer every ten minutes which is why the story is so disjointed?

Did someone lose the plotline about three minutes in and have to try to recall it from a booze-hazed memory? They failed miserably!

Oh, and for info; when "guided missiles" lose their target lock, they do NOT veer off vector into the nearest taxi! The keep running towards the last computed point of terminal impact, ergo, Vinny would have been "Bitty" FFS!!

What a steaming turd of a movie, and please do not get me started on the "acting" rofl

I've seen better actors in the dock of our local magistrates courts! sick

Someone, somewhere, owes me one hour and 45 minutes of my life back......Vin Diesel I'm coming to kick your teeth in....! punch
