I have fitted a FMIC to my 16VT today but the final result wasn't as I wanted it to be. Basically, I wanted to completely hide the FMIC behind the bumper without having to cut anything and to be able to use the under tray. However, bloody air intake tunnel for oil cooler got in a way so it all sits a little lower than I anticipated. I had to cut a bit of the metal from the bumper sponge support brackets but the they are still there supporting the sponge thingy. When I have a bit more time I will look for a shorter route for the pipework a get some more elbow hoses to be able to do it.

Anyway, what I used:
- 3 x 60mm ID x silicone elbows with 150mm legs each side so I could cut the excess and use it as couplers.
- 1 x 1m 60mm ID straight alu pipe which was then cut as needed (used all of it).
- 10 x 60-80mm jubilee clips
- about 200mm 2m thick alu bit to fabricate 2 support brackets.
- Univeral Intercoolers FMIC from KJ size 695mm x 140mm x 65mm, 2.25" inlet and outlet.

Pipework was about £65 and FMIC £32 so all under £100 laugh

This will do for the moment but improvements are to come at some point.

I fitted turbo revs to my 16vt few weeks , I cut alot of the bumper away but it all went together great and under tray went on a treat. My pipe work is very similar position to yours and I completely did I away with standard oil cooler ducting which was in the way and made my own with flexy hose.

Thank you for the pics deannn_20VT smile I want to ask how the car feels with the bigger FMIC? Is there more lag? I have FMIC 550mmx230mmx65mm but I haven't fitted it yet because some of my friends said that the car will feel more laggy with the stock turbo and big intercooler... frown Is this true ?

Not much of a difference with this intercooler maybe about 150rpm more for the turbo to kick in but the idea is to have more efficient intercooler than the standard one wink if you're doing track days and it's usually hot where you live then you got to have it.
