So I park up this morning and notice: on the driver's side, someone has scraped it and driven off; on the passenger's side keyed nice and deep and wing mirror broken off.

Not for the first time or the second time and no doubt not for the last time. One of the reasons I've given up trying to keep the car looking pristine. Fortunately it's just "a thing" and not worth frothing at the mouth over, but it is saddening.

I also had my car keyed yesterday, deep squiggle from front to back.

I just couldn't care these days, I share your view on kinda giving up, I just wish had a hidden camera.

Sorry to hear this Mark. Although mine's not been hit, I try not to get excited when I see yet another door/trolley strike on it.

So you parked up before noticing the miror was missing..looking on the bright side it won't affect rear vision too much in a Coupe smile

The actual mirror is there, it's the housing that's been broken and is now loose. I saw the mirror was out of kilter and electonically adjusted it without thinking any more (so the one time coupé paranoia doesn't strike and the buggers actually were out to get me! laugh )

Sorry to hear this Mark. It is just so sad that people feel the need to do this kind of thing.

It saddens me how so few have any regard for other peoples property. It's not just cars that are hit, but we do tend to notice that more often. frown

Senseless damage Emjay frown Sadly there always seems to be someone about who feels the need to lash out at someone else. You were the unlucky one in this place, but you've probably already talked yourself through the "it could have been worse" syndrome.
It's a paradox that on the one hand we cherish our possessions and by default other people's, but on the other hand we are reminded that these possessions are only objects and not as important as people. Certain people then get round their frustration at other people by trashing an innocent party's property crazy
