Hi
I was wondering if fabricating a turbo hanger for my coop would help stop the manifold from cracking, espeicially down by the collector part. It has a GT3076 turbo on it, which is much heavier than the standard GT28, also the standard one has a support bracket, which cant be fitted on the new turbo.
I was thinking some thing like this
any thoughts, good idea? or a waste of time?

G smile

It's a very good idea buddy, not re-fitting the standard turbo support absolutely totalled my tubular manifold!
It's said that you can get away with it if still using standard cast manifolds but I wouldn't like to risk it.... As you said your bigger turbo will be considerably heavier than standard item, so of there was a need for supporting the stock t28 then supporting bigger turbo is surely a Must?!!

Absolutely. Supporting the weight of the turbo is an absolute must with any manifold - especially a tubular one.

Ah cool will get one fabricated when my car has its rebuild, do you think the bolts on the rocker cover will hold it, or better to try to anchor it to some where else??

A bracket from the block would be better, or easier to build it stronger.
