the only thing really is to take the housing off and measure the wheels.
look for machining on the compressor housing inlet, that would usually identify if a larger wheel has been fitted.
when it comes to things like oil seals and thrust bearings (or anything inside the core) id take it to a specialist.
did you ever have the car RR'd?

You won't cause any harm removing the housings mate just make a note of the position of the housings before the come off

You do need to be careful taking the housings off. If you don't remove them nice and square you can catch the compressor or turbine wheel and bend a blade. A bit of heat on the turbine housing works well.

Thanks for the replies guys. Will have to be carefull then.
Unsure exactly where to look but sure there will be a guide somewhere. Measure the compressor wheel. Will collect it from my garage tomorrow to clean up and start dismantling.

Reubs, are you sure about that - especially as no doubt you will be selling it. Couldn't you take it to a specialist to look at such as CR Turbo's. Then when you do sell, peeps will feel safe with the purchase...just saying mate!
