Hi Guys,

Big day is next sat and looking at honeymoon suggestions.

3k is the very top of the budget and spotted a few things but need some pointers if others have been.
One was the Dominican republic, resort is Punta Cana at £1500 all inclusive for two weeks. Seems ideal but wondered if leaving your resort to go to others, would it be possible? We liked the Hard Rock resort but way over budget but as in the same area i would like to visit if indeed we choose the Dominican.

Another place was completely different with Florida with mixing a few days in the keys and the universal thing. I am a big kid after all.

Any other suggestions appreciated. We want beach life with some city life. Blend of both.

Cuba (havanna) twin center with kayo coco. Can't be beaten!

If you don't know anyone who works in the travel industry to get a good deal my wife does so if Thompson do what you chose then let me have the details and I'll see if she can beat your best price.

We're doing a driving holiday around West coast US in 4 weeks time.

Two weeks to take in San Diego, Las Vegas, Yosemite, San Francisco, Monterey and Santa Barbara. We've paid just over your budget for flights, accommodation and the car but we could have done it much more cheaply.

We wanted to do a honeymoon like this because it gives us te opportunity to do lots of different things; cities, bright lights, walking in the national park, beach life, etc.

Feel free fella! I can't promise it will be cheaper but there are other things that can be added foc.

One of my staff went on a driving holiday around LV, death valley, cally etc. Boyfriend loved it, lady a bit less so. Plan carefully as there can be more cartime than sight seeing and relaxing!

We originally planned to just book the flights and car and just turn up and get accommodation when we got there.

However, we were advised by various people to book both Yosemite and San Francisco as they get busy. We ended up booking all our accommodation as it just made planning the whole thing easier.

The longest time in the car will be Vegas to Yosemite (7-8 hours) and I'm wondering whether or not it will be a better idea to make it two journeys and stop overnight halfway.

Ours will be a round trip but you can hire cars and drop them off in different locations, sometimes for no more money.

There are a million things to think about with a trip like this. Obviously I can't give you any advice on experience yet but I've done a hell of a lot of planning and research so if you want to know anything specific just ask.
