Well, finally got all four wheels on the ground yesterday, so took it around the block for a test drive just to see what it was like. I was very nervous (should that read paranoid) as for some reason, I was expecting it to break down.

Low and behold all went smoothly, steering nice and light, gear change smooth, but to be honest could only manage 2nd gear. All went fine.........

Until pulling back up outside my drive, water started spewing everywhere. Quick check and the radiator had burst (knew it looked shabby) and it was gushing from the expansion bottle, it hadn't been tightened up properly so hoping that's all that is.

All in all, very happy with what I've done, considering most of the work has been done within a budget, as most of the time I've had no work (and still haven't). The brakes still need bleeding as the pedal is very soft and almost reaches the floor. The windscreen needs replaced, and now a replacement radiator.

At least for that 1 minute 30 seconds, it felt good, and I surprised the neighbours, as nobody thought it would ever move again after standing for almost 5 years on my drive.

Well, took it for another sneaky blast around the block again today, done 2 laps this time and the oil pressure seemed to drop below 1 bar on idle but shot up to around 3 when giving some throttle. I did have the car running for about 20 minutes before going out in it.

Pulled back on to the drive and the temporary radiator fix had held out, no leaks, but keeping up the coupe notoriety, a new problem has arisen, it seems I cracked the corner of the rocker cover when I fitted it. It hadn't shown any signs until today and when I lifted the bonnet, noticed a spray of oil around the throttle body and FPR. Bugger furious

Brakes are still poor after the 2nd time being bled.
