Hello everyone!
I've been coming on here quite a lot lately looking for answers to issues I've had along the way to getting my coupe on the road, such a great forum by the way, lots of info and helpful people I see, so I thought I'd better introduce myself as I'll no doubt be on here a lot more now it's finally on the road.

A little about me and my project...
My friend owned a red 20vT Le back in the day and I loved it, was probably running about 300bhp if I remember rightly, and I've been wanting a project for quite a few years so I bought this Scotts green 20vT 96 with 160k miles and knackered paint work back in October as a non-runner for £400.
It had been under cover for about 3 years, only info I had to go by was the alternator had seized, brakes were no good, Cambelt was done a few thousand miles before coming off the road, and had all 3 keys but no fob, so I got it trailered home and have been working on it every odd weekend I got the chance.
So far it's had,

New alternator and belts,
Rocker gasket,
Plugs, maf sensor,
Brake discs and pads all round,
Brake pipes, (fuel tank had to come off for that) hoses and rear calipers, (I've never had such a difficult car to bleed!)
Freed up and greased the brake compensator,
Power steering pipes were rusty and leaking severely so they were replaced,
Exhaust was beyond repair so replaced the centre and back box with straight pipe and fit a 3.5" rolled tail pipe to tidy things up.
I've also fit a Gtec 1 chip, removed the cars boost controller and fit a prv (it's set to about 17psi at the moment) turbo timer, viper induction kit, boost gauge where the clock was and cleaned all that horrible rubber stuff off of the dashboard so that's ready for painting, and had to wet and dry/Polish the headlights as they were very bad, came out quite nicely though and fit some hid lights that were recommended on here too!
And finally it passed it's mot about 2 weeks ago, just... As emissions weren't great and the handbrake was weak.

Future plans are

A full respray with Le or plus bodykit, (was thinking pearlescent white with same on lip of alloys and either black or anthracite grey on the roof and same for the centre of the wheels,
bigger turbo and intercooler,
Some nice wheels possibly 18's

And definitely a new clutch! As it has started to slip in 3rd, but I'll start a new post for that one laugh
I've got a few pictures but they're not great, I'll post them up anyway (when I figure out how) tongue

Welcome!

I won't mention the bucket.

Good to see people buying low and fixing up - top job!

Nice big garage you have there, you'll need it for the clutch.

Cheers guys! You like the colour eh? I don't mind it, but I can't find the paint anywhere, so thought it'd be easier to just spray it focus rs white with silver pearl.
