I have been offered a little cinquento sporting in yellow. Tax and tested for £350.

I know there is quite a following with these and thought this could be fun and actually fits in my garage at home!!!

The slightly unique thing about it though is its a 1997 r plate with just 16k on the clock!

Could be abit of a prize. I will look daft in it sure but anyone know much about these?

What do you guys think..

Cool! Look after it. They are going to be sought after at some point and with that mileage its definitely worth caring for.

Not good cars to have an accident in Reuben.

NCAP crash rating was poor for the later Seicento which was developed from it.

16VT and X1/9 1500

We must all do our part for the planet.
I unplugged a row of electric cars that nobody was using.

I had a normal Cinq nick named "Chinqy"
One of the best cars i had in all honesty!
cost me £300 about 8 years ago and it never went wrong
could park it anywhere and never worried about it! didnt worry about supermarket trollys and when i was renovating my house, you should of seen the look on peoples faces when i used to turn up at the local tip! i got more rubbish in the back than people could with a volvo estate!
I really miss that car just for the shear care free motoring!!
and i wouldnt hesitate to get another one if i ever take the coupe of the road!!

No Pete- Defiantly last thing i would want an accident in. Hopefully the yellow stands out enough to help prevent accidents.

It's an interesting thing, the NCAP test - I mean, how often do you plan to have an accident?

To be honest, in most cases I'd prefer a well-maintened lighter car than one with all the extra safety kit. Maybe I'm just weird?

It's escalation unfortunately. 10 years back I wouldn't have thought twice about driving a car like the Cinq. Cars were generally smaller, lighter, and slower as a populous. But up against the monotone line up of diesel rep wagons on the road now, I'm not so sure.

Coupedummy, please do get some pictures up. It's one of those cars that has very much grown on me.

You're right, szkom, but I figure avoiding the accident is the best way to avoid it. Not always possible, of course, but in the last thirty-odd years I've been in only three accidents, only one my fault.

No arguments from me, but as my dad always says; it's not you,it's everyone else you have to watch. So I quite like the idea of side impact bars and crumple zones for the time when I can't react quickly enough

On a slight tangent I have a 205 Gti that I keep for one reason, it does as I tell it which makes it a hoot to drive; even just going to the shops. I hope the OP has as much fun with the Cinq as I've had with mine.

Rueben, if that's the single-point injector (in the carb) you'll find that the startrek-punto software works with it.

That is awesome - if it weren't such a low milage clean example it'd make the perfect track car.

I agree, would be a cracking track motor but so low mille age and original it would be a huge shame
