What colour is the "key code card"? If it is blue and has the word "CODE" with a kind of arrow, and a 5 digit number, this is the Fiat CODE card that was mostly withheld from UK cars at the request of UK insurers. With this code you can use the "emergency start" procedure any bypass the CODE immobiliser. The red keys usually get lost by careless owners since they are rarely if ever needed. It is needed for adding new keys for example. You could argue that all Fiat Coupe's were imported from Italy, I guess they mean a "grey" or personal import? "Genuine" UK cars (imported by Fiat UK) have the chassis number etched onto all the glass windows.
If it is a red card, it's likely to be associated with the Meta alarm.

Quite a few were bought by UK forces people in Germany in UK spec, RHD, and brought to UK, the V5 might give a bit of a clue? Plus you have the full service history you mentioned in your first ever post? A few owners have the certificte you mention, that may have been required to get the UK registration.
