Sorry if this appears rude. I've scoured the forum from top to bottom and can't find the answers to a few possibly easy questions, hence me asking here.

1. I wired up 4 gauges in a Punto and took the switched lives and illumination from the cigarette lighter and it seemed to be ok.

Firstly - is that too many devices to be drawing from one point
Secondly - if I tap into the wiring for the dash dimmer, will it dim the dials, and again, is that too many devices to be linking to the dinner wiring?

2. Something completely unrelated

I've read the indicator stork fix guide, and I'm not sure as to the thickness of plastic sheet im going need as it doesn't seem to state this. Am I right in thinking credit card thickness is a bit on the thick side, or will that be ok?

I'm also thinking of putting an aftermarket steering wheel on, if anyone has done the stork mod & fitted an aftermarket wheel, does it effect this mod?

3. Finally, I've got the dreaded boot leak. I have read the tips on how to remedy it, I'm just wondering, for those of you who have purchased new seals,....where would you recommend using if I'm to get a new one?

IMHO it's unlikely that much of the self-cancelling lug in the indicator stalk unit is worn away, it's usually just the tip. So unless you can grind off a bit more to attach a sliver of credit card to maybe consider building the tip back up with Araldite. I recall using a much thinner plastic film on mine combined with superglue to create the necessary shape.
